APC Auto Spa has installed ceramic coatings since 2015, and every coating is applied in-house by our own technicians at our Monroe and Tukwila shops. Each package price already includes the vehicle preparation and a single-stage machine polish, so the coating goes onto properly prepped paint. A coating adds gloss, makes the vehicle far easier to wash, and protects against UV fading, chemical etching, and water spotting. It is not rock-chip protection and it is not scratch-proof - if impact protection from gravel and road debris is your main concern, paint protection film is the product built for that.
Every package price includes a full hand wash, iron decontamination, clay bar treatment, and a single-stage machine polish before the coating is applied. If the paint condition calls for deeper or multi-stage correction, that is available at additional charge - most vehicles do not need it.

Ceramic Pro 9H packages build protection by stacking thin layers. Ceramic Pro ION Base and ION Top go on thicker per layer, so an ION package reaches its protection level with fewer layers. For you, the practical differences between the packages are coverage, warranty term, and how much exposure the vehicle sees - not marketing chemistry.
Every coating is cured in the shop under infrared lamps, the same kind body shops use to cure fresh paint, before you leave. Many shops keep a freshly coated car overnight; we invested in IR curing so you can take yours home the same day. IR curing speeds up the same cure; it doesn't skip it. Your car is safe to drive and fine in the rain right away, and the coating keeps hardening over the next 7 to 10 days, so hold off on washing until then. APC ceramic coating services are reported to CARFAX, so the work shows up in your vehicle's service history.
Packages range from $900 to $1,800 for cars and $1,100 to $2,000 for trucks and SUVs. Bronze ($900/$1,100) is a single layer of Top Coat with a 2-year warranty. Silver ($1,200/$1,400) adds a layer of 9H for a 5-year warranty. ION ($1,500/$1,700) uses ION Base and ION Top for a 7-year warranty. Ultimate ION ($1,800/$2,000) adds a second layer of ION Base and carries a lifetime warranty. All prices include prep and polish. Those prices are firm - we don't charge more for an exotic than we do for a commuter car. Sprinter vans and other oversized vehicles have their own pricing. If you want a lighter, more affordable option, the Ceramic Pro Sport package is offered with our exterior detail.
