Formerly a Ceramic Pro Elite Dealer: What That Meant and What It Means Today

APC Auto Spa was formerly a Ceramic Pro Elite Dealer. We are proud of that chapter, and we think it is worth explaining plainly: what the program actually required, why it mattered, and how we choose the materials we install today. Ceramic coating has never been a product you simply "buy" - it is a protection system that performs only as well as the process behind it. That has not changed here.
What the Ceramic Pro Elite Dealer Program Was
Elite Dealer was the top tier of Ceramic Pro's authorized dealer network. It was not a marketing badge you could buy off a shelf - it carried real operating requirements:
- Certified training - installers completed manufacturer instruction on preparation, application, flash timing, and cure control.
- Authorized product access - Elite facilities were cleared to install upper-tier coating systems that were not available to every shop.
- Network accountability - facilities operated under national brand standards, with oversight tied to how work was performed, not just what was sold.
- Structured warranty registration - completed installations were documented and registered so coverage was traceable to the vehicle and the process used.
Elite Dealer = Certification + Authorized Products + Process Discipline + Network Accountability.
Why Restricted Distribution Mattered
Much of the coating market is open-distribution or private-label: the same chemistry, relabeled, available to nearly any installer. Ceramic Pro's upper-tier systems worked differently.
- Distribution was restricted to a vetted network rather than sold openly.
- Installation standards were required for a warranty to be valid.
- Product access was authorized, not retail.
- Brand oversight protected consistency across facilities.
The point of that exclusivity was never scarcity for its own sake. It existed because a high-end coating installed carelessly performs like a cheap one. Access alone does not make a product premium - controlled installation and accountability do. That principle is the part worth keeping, and it is the part we kept.
The Installation Process Has Not Changed
Program affiliations come and go. Standards are what actually determine how a finish looks in year three. Every coating we install still moves through the same sequence:
- Decontamination – Removing bonded contaminants so the coating can bond to paint, not to fallout.
- Paint Correction – Leveling defects before they are permanently sealed under a coating.
- Surface Prep – Stripping polishing oils and residue to maximize adhesion.
- Installation Discipline – Controlled panel work, proper flash timing, correct removal windows.
- Cure Management + Aftercare – Protecting the installation through cure and giving the owner a real maintenance plan.

How We Choose Materials Now
We still install Ceramic Pro coatings and Ceramic Pro Ceramic IR window tint. Those products earned their place in our lineup, and they are staying. The change is specific to paint protection film. For PPF, we have come to prefer STEK - a different manufacturer, a different product category, and a separate decision from coatings or tint.
Elite Dealer status required exclusivity across the full product line, not just one category. Stepping outside that requirement let us make the PPF decision independently, and it gave us local and regional access to STEK instead of paying to ship Ceramic Pro's film across the country - which matters for both cost and turnaround.
The net effect is not a downgrade from any one brand. It is the freedom to pick the best product in each category on its own merits, rather than committing to a single manufacturer's full catalog. Ceramic Pro coatings and tint remain part of that lineup because we think they are excellent. STEK earned the PPF spot the same way.
What We Install Today
Ceramic Pro coatings. We continue to install Ceramic Pro coating systems for paint, wheels, glass, and trim, because the chemistry has performed reliably for our clients over years of Northwest driving.
Ceramic IR window tint. Nano-ceramic infrared-rejecting film for heat control, glare reduction, and UV protection - no signal interference, no purple fade.
STEK paint protection film. Self-healing urethane film for impact zones and full-vehicle coverage, with optional gloss and matte finishes, protecting against rock chips, road debris, and etching.
The Protection Stack

Film first in impact areas, coating over the top for chemical resistance and easier washing, tint for interior heat and UV control. Layered correctly, each element does a job the others cannot.
Where APC Auto Spa Fits In
APC Auto Spa has been protecting vehicles since 2015, serving Monroe, Snohomish County, and the greater Seattle area. We were formerly a Ceramic Pro Elite Dealer, and the training, documentation habits, and installation discipline that came with that work are still how this shop runs.
What you get now is the same thing that made the designation meaningful in the first place: structured installation, transparent scope, honest product recommendations, and a protection plan built around how you actually drive.

Tell us the vehicle, how it is driven, and how long you plan to keep it. We will build the protection strategy around that - coating, film, tint, or a combination.
